Undergraduate students have the option of following a co-op program (five years) or a non-co-op program (four years).

The following electrical engineering program options are offered by мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥â€™s Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Agriculture. Connect with an academic advisor after you start your studies to explore options such as:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (for degrees only)

What you will learn

In the first two years of their degree, all engineering students complete the Core Engineering Program. You can take this Program either on the Sexton Campus in Halifax or the Agricultural Campus in Truro. You will study math, science, engineering science, and design, developing a broad foundation in engineering.

At the end of your first year, you can apply to one of our six tailored engineering disciplines including electrical and computer engineering. Placement in a specific discipline is competitive and based on academic performance in the first year.

Sample courses may include:

  • Engineering Design and Graphics I

  • Engineering Chemistry I

  • Applied Linear Algebra

  • Applied Vector Calculus

  • Thermo-Fluid EngineeringÌý

  • Applied Probability and Statistics

  • Electromechanics

  • MicroprocessorsÌý
