Minimum admission requirements
To be considered for admission to this program, you must meet minimum academic criteria:
- Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
- Achievement of the minimum average for your program of choice.
- Completion of Grade 12 English (or equivalent course).
Admission to many мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ programs is competitive. This means that meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

Accounting Major Requirements:
An average of B- between COMM 1101 (Intro to Accounting I - Financial) and COMM 1102 (Intro to Accounting II - Managerial) is required in order to major in Accounting.

Program options
Your first two years of this program are dedicated to core commerce courses. In your third and fourth years, you'll choose electives tailored to accounting. The Bachelor of Commerce degree at Dal includes a mandatory co-op program, consisting of three paid work terms.
Past students majoring in accounting have completed their co-ops in the accounting departments of private companies and public accounting firms, with many continuing their employment with the same company upon graduating.
