Fran莽oise Baylis is awarded the McNeil Medal at the Royal Society of Canada聽 Annual General Meeting (2016). Kingston, ON. 27 Sept 2016.
The was established in 1991 through the generosity of McNeil Consumer Healthcare. It is intended to highlight the important role that science plays within our society and to encourage the communication of science to students and the public.聽
The medal is awarded to a candidate who has demonstrated outstanding ability to promote and communicate science to students and the public within Canada (the term public is defined in its broadest sense). The bronze medal and a cash amount of $1,500 are awarded every year if there is a suitable candidate.
