мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ is one of just five universities in Canada to receive support from theÌýKillam TrustsÌýfor scholarships, fellowships, prizes, and other funding and is the largest recipient of Killam funding.

Since 1967, the Killam Trusts have provided more than $1 billion to support research and learning. No other private philanthropic effort has contributed this level of funding to higher education in Canada.

Five Killam Prizes are awarded annually to distinguished Canadian scholars in the categories of health sciences, natural sciences, engineering, social sciences and humanities. The Faculty of Science Killam Professorships were established by the faculty in recognition of the financial support provided by the Killam endowment at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥. Up to ten professorships are awarded to faculty members in recognition of their outstanding careers for a term of five years.ÌýEach professorship is accompanied by an award of $2,000.
