What is radon? Radon is a radioactive gas that can be found in elevated levels in certain homes and buildings. мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ regularly tests for radon in buildings on campus, but have you tested your home? Radon is the second-leading cause of lung cancer, surpassed only by smoking. It’s important that all Canadians test their homes for radon, and take action to reduce the radon level if required. Radon exists in every building, everywhere!
November is the perfect time to start your home radon test. Why November? Health Canada suggests measuring radon for a minimum of 3 months, preferably during the heating season. This makes November the perfect time to order a radon test kit and start measuring the level in your home.
