We are happy to announce the launch of theÌýCertificate in Human Physiology! The Certificate Program provides students with an opportunity to specialize in physiological studies through courses offered in the Medical Sciences, Biology, Neuroscience, and Kinesiology undergraduate programs, as well as experiential learning opportunities. The learning outcomes will vary between students and depend on their main area of undergraduate studies, as well as on individual interests. Concentrating on one or more cross-cutting themes, students enrolled in the certificate program may choose to:
- Examine the function and role of particular organ systems in human performance and disease.
- Analyze the function of the nervous and endocrine systems to appreciate how they regulate bodily functions and behaviour.
- Explore physiological mechanisms at molecular and cellular levels to develop a more thorough understanding of physiological and pathophysiological processes at a higher organizational level.
Students should enrol in the Certificate Program in Human Physiology in their third year of studies. To enrol, students must declare the certificate throughÌýÌýand notify a Certificate Coordinator via e-mail.
