Roberta Barker    Fountain School of Performing Arts, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
Roberta's leadership as Acting Dean during this challenging year has been simply wonderful. Effective, efficient, humane, and warmhearted. She has supported the whole of FASS in so many ways. I am truly grateful Roberta was at the helm this year.

Roderick Stewart & Deborah Henderson    Department of Biology, Faculty of Science
Rod & Debbie have been a huge help this past year. When couriers could no longer deliver directly to our offices in the Life Science Centre, all deliveries came to the Biology Stores. As well, all out going shipments had to be arranged for pick up from Biology Stores. Rod & Debbie have been great for making sure all incoming packages get sorted, notifying each department, and that outgoing ones do get picked up.

Dr. Roger McLeod, Dr Valerie Chappe and Sara Lavender     Medical Research Development Office, Faculty of Medicine
Hi, thanks for your exemplary leadership, support and guidance and for always having the teams back and helping us navigate through some tough spots. It is exciting, adventurous, and an amazing learning opportunity to work with you guys and the team.
Shirin Shaikh
Kate Hide     Faculty of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Dept
Kate has been the Department Administrator since the Fall of 2019. She has been an outstanding person to work with. We say "work with" because she has respect, compassion and appreciation for those who work for the department. She is always approachable if you have a question or issue you may need to discuss. She never makes you feel that any issue is not worth her time no matter how small. It is a joy to come to work everyday knowing that you have someone who supports and appreciates you as a person first and employee second.

Susan Dempster and Diane Ross     Facilities Management, Agricultural Campus
My shout-out is for Susan and Diane. They are the Haley Janitors and always do a stellar job at keeping our building clean and sanitized. They are not only efficient at their jobs, they are great people to get along with; always with a smile and cheery hello. We are lucky they work in our building.
Marilyn Roberts
Joanna Afghani    Faculty of Management
Joanna joined the Dean's Office in April and has brought new energy and fresh perspective to our communications. The graphics she created to help inspire us to do acts of community kindness for #mgmtRACK are so appreciated. Love having you on the team, Joanna!

Emily Balkum     School of Communication Sciences and Disorders, Faculty of Health
Emily Balkum is such a great colleague. I just want her to know how appreciate she is. She goes above and beyond for her students and her colleagues. The school is very lucky to have her on the team!

Shauna Hachey      School of Dental Hygiene, Faculty of Dentistry
Professor Shauna Hachey deserves a huge acknowledgement for playing a significant role in decision making and ensuring that the Diploma of Dental Hygiene, Class of 2021 was able to complete clinical program requirements and competencies - on time! Despite 3 waves of COVID, Professor Hachey never faltered and deserves a shout out for providing a path for the Class of 2021 to complete these competencies required for graduation and to be eligible to write board exams. A simple thank you is not enough. We are in your debt!

Staff and Admin, Department of Biology     Department of Biology, Faculty of Science
Special, HUGE thank you to all the support staff and administrators in Biology for keeping things running smoothly over the past year, and handling all the emails, questions, concerns... be it with purchasing, payroll, registering, the website, coming to campus to help gather/find things as needed. Special shout out to those that helped me --- Chris, Carolyn, Aileen, Bev, Rod, Deb, John, Amber, and Doug -- but there are so many more of you that have been instrumental, always, and especially this year. Thank you!

Julie Hallett      Communications, Marketing and Creative Services (CMC)
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Julie for years and recently welcomed her to the CMC team in December. Anyone who knows Julie knows that she is talented, dedicated, smart and strategic. She’s doing an exceptional job leading her team and several key initiatives including the development of the interim recruitment marketing campaign for this fall and the university’s brand refresh project. So grateful to have you on the team, for your work this past year and look forward to all we’ll accomplish this coming year!

Kerrianne Ryan      Together@Dal program
Working with Kerrianne as a Dal student employee has been an amazing experience, I was given guidance, inspiration, and all the tools I needed to launch and produce quality podcast series (DalTalk) with over 100 total plays. Kerrianne, you rock!

Lara Gibson     Department of Biology, Faculty of Science
To my partner in BIOL 2003 Crime :) --- I couldn't have asked for a better colleague to teach a course with over the years, especially during online COVID. You are incredibly dedicated to giving the students a well-rounded course that teaches way more than just content - but about appreciating the natural world around them, and to always stay curious. Thank you for being you!
Jen Frail-Gauthier
Lyle Quinn     Communications, Marketing and Creative Services (CMC)
This past year has required innovation, nimbleness and an ability (and willingness to dig deep) and Lyle has done just that. His work on developing and executing a new homepage strategy, building the COVID microsite, conducting research and engagement sessions with the Dal community and onboarding an agency to kick off work on the multi-year Dal.ca renewal demonstrates some of the ways that Lyle is always bringing a fresh and strategic lens to the team. So thankful to have you on the team!

The Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development Team.    Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development
Our entire Faculty Team stepped up to the plate when COVID hit last year. They embraced the challenges presented by the move to online teaching, the loss of revenue from face-to-face courses, and the need to create new courses and programs, all the while undergoing major organizational change, including a name change. The Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development rocks!
Dianne Tyers
James Crouse   Schools of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy, Faculty of Health
James has been the glue that has kept our teaching labs going in the Schools of OT and PT over the last year. He has been involved in the move of equipment for our labs to another building for two schools, made sure everything worked properly, is there on a daily basis for troubleshooting and has asked the questions that none of us would even think to ask regarding relocation. He is a rockstar!
