ÌýDEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

10-month Limited Term Instructor, 100% FTE

The Department of Chemistry at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ invites applications for a 10-month limited term instructor beginning September 2020.


Duties: The primary responsibilities of this position are coordination and delivery of 1st year (introductory) chemistry courses, including course instruction, online delivery of course material, all aspects of grading and evaluation, curriculum development, class administration and organization. Other responsibilities include advising of students, academic administration, professional development, and outreach and community service.

This position reports to the Dean of Science though the Chair of the Department of Chemistry.

The position requires a minimum of MSc degree in Chemistry, with a PhD preferred, and a minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the university level. Experience in online course development and student advising is considered an asset. Familiarity or experience with online/technological tools such as MS Office Applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Forms, Bookings, and Teams/Teams Live Events, BrightspaceÌýLMS,ÌýLON-CAPAÌýOnline Homework Platform, and Articulate 360 Storyline is also an asset. TheÌýDFAÌýCollective Agreement, 2017-20, defines total compensation for the position, including salary and benefits.
