POSITION: Â Sessional Lecturer
HESA 4005 – Healthcare Financial Management
Fall (September-December 2019)
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION:Â School of Health Administration
PAY RATE:Â Â According to CUPE Contract
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Sessional Lecturer will be responsible for the online delivery of a one-half credit course, HESA 4005, Healthcare Financial Management during the Fall term (September to December 2019). Registrants include students enrolled in the Diploma in Emergency Health Services Management and the Diploma in Health Services Administration programs. Responsibilities include development, delivery and management of the on-line course including preparation of the course outline (syllabus), course content, test/assignment/exam preparation, student evaluation, monitoring of discussion boards and online tutorial support. An instructional designer is available for assistance. The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course. The position reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:
A graduate degree in health administration, management or a related degree (MHA, MBA, PhD) and five years work experience, preferably in the health sector. Previous experience teaching in an online environment is a strong asset. Experience as a mid to senior administrator in healthcare would be viewed favourably.
