POSITION: Part-time Academic

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Department of History

PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement

WORK ASSIGNMENT: A part-time academic is required to teach History 2272.03/Canadian Studies 2272.03, Atlantic Canada since Confederation,Ìýin the Winter Term of the 2019-2020 academic year, January 1 to April 30, 2020. The class is currently scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday,Ìý13:05-14:25. It explores the development of the Atlantic region (the Maritimes and Newfoundland & Labrador) from 1867 through to the present.  The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, exam preparation and evaluation, as well as student consultation and is to be available for two hours per week outside class time for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the History Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must possess a PhD in History or its equivalent or be registered in a PhD program and should have expertise in Canadian history and a demonstrated ability in teaching at the university level. Please apply in writing, with a copy of your curriculum vitae to:
