Limited term (3-year) Instructor in Computer Science
Faculty of Computer Science, мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥.Ìý
The Faculty of Computer Science is seeking candidates for a 3-year limited term instructor position. The position will primarily involve (i) working with the Curriculum Committee in the development of new curriculum and teaching materials that will incorporate the modern practice of software development into courses; (ii) teaching undergraduate and graduate; and (iii) participating in other Faculty administration and student affairs, such as the Masters of Applied Computer Science Committee, Curriculum Committee, and student advising.Ìý
The successful candidates to these positions must meet the following requirements:Ìý
- At minimum a Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or equivalent field).
- 10+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience teaching modern software development, preferably at a university level
Additional desirable qualifications are as follows:
- Demonstrated professional experience as a senior software engineer across a range of industriesÌý
- Experience as a manager of a software team
- Recent experience in modern software development practices including full stack development, agile development, continuous integration, test driven development, automated deployment, and automated testing
- Experience with current trends in industry practices and platforms substantiated by industry experience or applied research
- Recent experience in the ICT industry, particularly with large software projects and modern software development tools
Although the instructor is not expected to conduct research, the successful candidate will have a well-defined area of interest in CS in which they will remain current and be able to teach senior-level and graduate courses.
