COURSE INFORMATION: RUSN 1020.03: Russian Culture & Civilization Under the Tsars

Writing Requirement – Fall Term 2019-2020 (September 1, 2019 – December 31, 2019)

Currently Scheduled: MW 16:05-17:25

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The class will be conducted in English and fulfills the first half of a writing requirement. The Part-Time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including adherence to the Writing Requirement Class Guidelines, admission, lectures, test and assignment preparation, evaluation, supervising Teaching Assistants, and electronic submission of grades. Three class hours per week, plus hold weekly office hours. The Part-Time Academic reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Applicants should possess a graduate degree or other academic and/or professional qualifications deemed suitable for teaching the class. A background in Russian culture and civilization, History/Literature is preferred. Competence in teaching techniques in English composition is required. Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset.
