POSITION: Ìý Sessional Lecturer, Summer Term 2019

PAY RATE: The pay rate for all Part Time Academic positions is in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement.

The course and requirements for this position are as follows:

HSCE 2000.03 (Summer 2019) -- Health Care Ethics (on line)

NOTE: This course is taught exclusively via distance learning using мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥'s web-based Learn Management System platform.

WORK ASSIGNMENT: As the instructor of record for HSCE 2000, an introductory course in health care ethics, the responsibilities of the sessional lecturer will include development of course materials, course delivery, teaching, and administration of the course.Ìý Topics include: moral theory and principles and ethical issues in health care.Ìý The maximum enrolment for this class is 60.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Knowledge of health care system and previous teaching experience is required. Previous post-secondaryÌýteaching in the area of ethics in healthcare is required.Ìý A master's degree is required (a master's degree in ethics is an asset).

All offers of employment as a part-time academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the courses and approval by the University.
