POSITION: Sessional Instructor – PUAD 6010 (Wednesdays 1135 - 1425)

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: School of Public Administration
PAY RATE: As per the CUPE collective agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:
The Sessional Instructor will be responsible for a half credit course in the area of Union Management Relations in the Public Service offered to graduate students in the Master of Public Administration program. The Instructor will be responsible for all aspects of the teaching and administration of the class and be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultations. The candidate reports to the Director of the School.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Â
A Masters Degree in public administration or a related field and recent or current experience at the executive level within government departments is required. A preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. in the area of Public Administration. Previous university-level teaching at the Master’s level is required as is demonstrated teaching effectiveness at the Master’s level. Preference will also be given to applicants who hold or have recently held positions at the executive level within government departments and to persons with experience managing labour relations programs. Â
