1.   Work Assignment: INFO 6540 – Data Management
The sessional instructor will teach the core Data Management course (INFO 6540) in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2018 Winter term. The course is scheduled for one 3-hour period per week, January to April 2018.
Requirements of the Position: MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in data management. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.
2.   Work Assignment: INFO 6070 – Reading & Reading Practices
The sessional instructor will teach the elective Reading & Reading Practices course (INFO 6070) in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2018 Summer term. The course is scheduled to be delivered by distance (online), May to July 2018.
Requirements of the Position: MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in reading programs and practices. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.
Instructors report to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.
