Pay Rate:Ìý In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
Work Assignment: INFO 6640 – Expert Searching for Clients
The sessional instructor will teach the elective Expert Searching for Clients course (INFO 6640) in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2018 Winter term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, January – April 2018.
Requirements of the Position:ÌýMLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in online searching and bibliographic databases. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.
The instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:ÌýResponsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.
