Asalha Puja (Dhamma Day)
Commemorates the Buddha’s first discourse, given to the five monks at the Deer Park at Sarnath, near Varanasi. The day is observed by donating offerings to temples and listening to sermons.

Martyrdom of The Báb BAHA’I FAITH
The Martyrdom of The Báb memorializes His death. Bahá’ís suspend work on this day.

Fast of the 17th of Tammuz JUDAISM
Tzom Tammuz falls on the 17th day of the Hebrew month of Tammuz and marks the beginning of the three-week mourning period for the destruction of Jerusalem and the two Holy Temples, leading up to Tisha B’Av. Like other minor fasts, Tzom Tammuz begins at dawn (first light) and ends at nightfall (full dark).
