WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for History 2032.03, Twentieth Century Germany, a second-year class conducted in the Fall Term of the 2017-2018 academic year, September 1 to December 31, 2017, which explores Germany’s history in the 20th century, as well as its representation in various media: e.g., cinema, fiction, etc. Class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:35-12:55.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ìý Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme and have demonstrated excellence in teaching 20th Century European history and its representation in various media.Ìý Please apply in writing, with a copy of your curriculum vitae to:

Class is currently scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday 11:35-12:55. The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, administration and grading of the class, and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class time for student consultation. The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme and have experience teaching undergraduate courses in the history of literature, art, and film relating to Twentieth Century Europe.
