POSITION: Part-time Academic; Introductory Biology I (Biology 1020, online); May 25, to August 31, 2017

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology

PAY RATE: $4,881-$5,969

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The instructor is responsible for the administration and delivery of BIOL 1020 (Introductory Biology I: Cells, Genetics, and Evolution), including content review in the form of webcasts and web conferences, assisting students on an individual basis, managing teaching assistants, invigilating tests and examinations, and submitting grades. REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The candidate should have an MSc or equivalent academic experience in Biology, and experience in the CMS used at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ (Brightspace) or be willing to attend training sessions prior to the start of the class. Candidates must have a strong background and interest in teaching, good communication skills, and ability to work as a team member. Additional training or experience in online learning and web technologies are assets. First time applicants must provide the names of two referees.
