WORK ASSIGNMENT:INTD 2002.03 – Introduction to Development II (On-line). The part time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading, and administration of the class. In addition, is to be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation. This class will be offered in the period of July 3rd to August 18th. This class is distance.The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the IDS Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ph.D. or MA in International Development Studies or closely related field. Experience and expertise in development theory and interdisciplinary approaches to development studies. Experience in offering on-line courses would be an additional asset. Previous teaching experience preferred.

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: International Development Studies

WORK ASSIGNMENT:INTD 4322.03 Special Topics: Children and War /held in conjunction with INTD 5004.03 Special Topics - Children and War. This class is also held in conjunction with POLI 3810.03 and POLI 5602.03. The part time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class. In addition, is to be available for two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation. The course will be taught Monday through Friday, four hours per day for the period beginning July 3rd to July 14th. The part time academic reports to the Chair of the department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ph.D. or M.A. in International Development Studies or closely related field. Experience and expertise in the impact of war on children, the situation of child soldiers and the role of international organizations such as the United Nations and the International Criminal Court in addressing conflict and post-conflict situations for children and their families. Previous teaching experience preferred.

This class will be offered in the period of May8thto June 23rd. This is an online class. The part time academic reports to the Chair of the department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Ph.D. in International Development Studies or closely related field. Expertise in innovative approaches to development, interdisciplinarity and participatory democracy. The instructor will be responsible for design and management of a fully online course with enrollment of approximately 30 students. Previous teaching experience including on-line teaching experience preferred.
