Assistant Professor of Management
The Rowe School of Business invites applications for a three-year limited-term appointment in Management at the rank of Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2017.
The successful applicant will be expected to teach six sections of undergraduate courses including Organizational Behaviour, with additional teaching responsibilities in at least one of the following areas: Business Communication; Human Resource Management; or Business Ethics and CSR. The successful candidate must have a PhD with a concentration in one of the abovenamed areas. This is a position with a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, and evidence of successful teaching at the undergraduate level is required. In addition to classroom teaching, experience teaching in an online or blended learning format will be considered an asset.
The successful applicant will also be expected to contribute to the academic life of the School, and must have a demonstrated ability to make meaningful service contributions. The successful candidate must also have a record of contributions to management education through activity in conferences or professional organizations; publications of applied research in relevant fields; and/or publications with a pedagogical focus. Candidates must be able to meet the School’s accrediting body’s (AACSB) qualification requirements.
The Rowe School of Business is part of the Faculty of Management, which has a unique commitment to values-based management and interdisciplinary research and learning. Thus, the successful candidate will have opportunities to work with like-minded colleagues in the sister Schools of Public Administration, Information Management, and Resource and Environmental Studies within the Faculty.
