Instructor, Disability Management
Limited Term Position
Applications are invited for a 2 year 0.5 Limited Term Position at the Instructor level in the School of Occupational Therapy starting August 1, 2017. This is an academic position that encompasses teaching, program development, academic advising and program administration. Reporting to the Director of the School, the successful candidate will be situated at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ and responsible for the undergraduate Disability Management Certificate program and contribute to the Occupational Therapy fieldwork program.
The ideal candidate will hold a relevant Master’s degree or a have an equivalent combination of education and experience. A PhD would be considered an asset. S/he must hold an entry- to-practice qualification in occupational therapy. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia is essential. Previous teaching experience is essential, as is recent work experience in the field of disability management. The instructor requires experience in online curriculum development, evaluation and online teaching technology. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The instructor must be willing to establish/maintain involvement in scholarly/professional activities; demonstrate ongoing participation in continuing occupational therapy and / or disability management education courses; and be dedicated to excellence and innovation in curriculum delivery.
