Sessional Instructor Posting ‑ Environmental Science – Faculty of Science

POSITION: Sessional Instructor to co-teach ENVS 3601.03

DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Environmental Science – Faculty of Science APPLICATION DEADLINE: November 30, 2016 RATE OF PAY: According to the CUPE Agreement (1.5 credit hours)

WORK ASSIGNMENT: The Sessional Instructor will be responsible for teaching half of ENVS 3601.03 “Global Biogeochemical Cycles” starting the week of February 29th during the 2017 Winter Term. This is a required course in Environmental Science. The instructor will conduct lectures, coordinate tutorial sessions, coordinate the final exam and evaluate student work. There will be one Teaching Assistant assigned to the course to run the tutorials. The instructor is expected to coordinate with the other co-instructor prior to the start of the winter term. The Instructor reports directly to the Director of the Environmental Science Program.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION: A minimum of a Masters Degree with expertise in biogeochemical cycles. Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.
