POSITION: Part-time Academic: Communities and Ecosystems (BIOL3061); September 1, to December 31, 2016
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology
PAY RATE: $4,881-5,969
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The instructor is responsible for the class lectures. The instructor will also assist students on an individual basis, hire/supervise TA’s, invigilate tests and examinations and mark and submit grades. The position reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The instructor will possess an advanced degree in biology (with emphasis in ecology as it relates to communities and ecosystems, sustainability and political ecology) and have prior, recent teaching experience in at least one of the fields of ecology or sustainability. First-time applicants to the Department of Biology must provide the names of two references.
