POSITIONS: Part-time Academic (2 positions); Cell Biology (Biology 2020.03); January 1, to April 30, 2017
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology
PAY RATE: $4,881-5,969
WORK ASSIGNMENT: In consultation with the class coordinator, the sessional laboratory instructor(s) will be responsible for the development and teaching of the laboratory component of the course; coordinate class TA’s and technicians; and general administration (handling student issues, supervising TA’s, submitting grades, invigilating exam and tests, etc.). The positions report to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The applicants will have an advanced degree in biology and previous, recent laboratory teaching experience in the related discipline. First-time applicants to the Department of Biology must provide the names of two references.

POSITIONS: Part-time Academic (2 positions); Marine Mammalogy (Marine Biology 3090.03); January 1, to April 30, 2017
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Biology
PAY RATE: $4,881-$5,969
WORK ASSIGNMENT: In consultation with the course coordinator, the instructors are responsible for lecturing on the various characteristics, special adaptations, evolution, ecosystem roles, and population biology of marine mammals. Evaluative material (examinations, mid-terms) will be given and marked. The position(s) reports to the Chair of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: The applicants will possess a doctorate in biology with teaching and research experience in marine mammalogy. He/she will also have demonstrated ability in lecturing to students in an undergraduate course. First-time applicants to the Department of Biology must provide the names of two references.
