Lecturer or Assistant Professor in Management Information Systems
The Rowe School of Business invites applications for a three-year limited-term appointment in Management Information Systems at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor commencing July 1, 2016. Applicants must have a PhD or be ABD (preferably in Management Information Systems or a related field), and will ideally have teaching experience using ERPSim and Microsoft Office applications. Experience teaching in a computer lab environment is strongly desired. Candidates must also be able to meet the School’s accrediting body’s (AACSB) Academic Qualification requirements.
The successful applicant will be expected to be able to engage in research with faculty and graduate students in Management Information Systems, to teach at the undergraduate level, and to contribute to the academic life of the School through committee service and other activities. The applicant will be expected to teach Core Business Applications and Management Information Systems. While recent experience teaching with SAP ERPSim will be considered an asset, we will provide training as needed.
The Rowe School of Business is part of the Faculty of Management, which has a unique commitment to values-based management and interdisciplinary research and learning. Thus, the successful candidate will have opportunities to work with like-minded colleagues in the sister Schools of Public Administration, Information Management, and Resource and Environmental Studies within the Faculty.
