Position: Part-Time Academic

Work Assignment: INFO 6750 Health Sciences Literature and Information Sources
The Sessional Instructor will teach the elective course Health Sciences Literature and Information Sources (INFO 6750) in the MLIS program during the 2016 Winter term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, January – April, 2016.
INFO 6750 – Health Sciences Literature and Information Sources
Requirements of the Position:
MLIS degree and employment experience as an information professional. Prior teaching experience is required. Research experience in Health Information or a cognate area will be helpful.
The Instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available

Precis:
The Sessional Instructor will teach the elective INFO 6850: Special Topics in Information Management: Archives II course in the Master of Library and Information Studies program in the 2015 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December, 2015.
The candidate should be a graduate in Library and Information Studies, Archives, Information Management, or cognate discipline. Prior teaching experience will be an asset and some professional experience in an archival setting, or a cognate area will be helpful.
The Instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students.
