New Faculty of Health Professions MOOCs launch today

This week the Faculty of Health Professions launches two new online MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses) free and open to all to participate.

Behind the Scenes: Addressing weight bias and stigma in obesity
Join internationally recognized healthy living expert Dr. Sara Kirk in a free, online five week MOOC exploring personal and professional biases that surround weight management and impact patient care and experience. Whether you are a health professional working with individuals seeking weight management support or just interested in learning more about what weight bias is and how it can impact health and relationships, this course will explore bias and stigma in health care and society and provide strategies to build positive and supportive relationships between health care providers and patients.

Sharing Promising Practices: Supporting Youth Mental Health & Wellbeing
Join internationally recognized youth resilience expert Dr. Michael Ungar in a free, online four week MOOC exploring promising practices that are making a difference in how organizations and individuals work with vulnerable children and youth in Canada and around the world.
