The мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Studying for Success Tutoring Program (Halifax campuses) is seeking students who would like to apply to be tutors in a variety of courses/fields, especially Math, Statistics, Commerce, Management, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Health Professions, Psychology, Social Science, and Engineering. Please share this job posting with students on the Halifax campuses, who are in your faculty or department who might be interested in applying.
Potential tutors must be either recent Dal alumni, current graduate students or senior undergraduates (Year 3 or above) with a minimum of an A- in the course(s) they wish to tutor, and with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. Tutoring runs through the entire year, and new tutors are accepted on an on-going basis throughout the school year.
In addition to getting paid for their services and feeling good about helping fellow students succeed, students who work for a certain number of hours can include tutoring on their мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Co-Curricular Record (CCR). It's an excellent way to give back - and get back!
All the requirements are listed in the job posting on MyCareer website and on the SFS website:
Interested students may apply to Jessica Chubb, Coordinator, Studying for Success Program at jessica.chubb@dal.ca. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me by email or phone at (902) 494-2468.
