DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Russian Studies
PAY RATE: As per Collective Agreement with CUPE 3912
WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý A part-time academic is needed to teach the course RUSN 3060, Winter Term (January 5 – April 9, 2015). The course will be taught with an emphasis on contemporary Ukraine and Russia as well as the post-Soviet world more broadly. The part-time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, written assignments and marking, test preparation and evaluation. The part-time academic reports to the Chairperson of the Department.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Previous teaching experience, extensive background in post-Soviet, particularly Ukrainian and Russian, contemporary politics and recent history; PhD preferred; thorough knowledge of English; command of Ukrainian and/or Russian.
