PART-TIME ACADEMIC POSTING:

POSITION: Part-time Academic, MARA 5021.03 Fisheries Management
DEPARTMENT/LOCATION: Faculty of Science, Marine Affairs Program
PAY RATE: As per CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT: The successful applicant will be teaching and coordinating the Fall Term of MARA 5021 Fisheries Management in the Marine Affairs Program. This graduate level half credit course will be conducted in the Winter Term of the 2014-2015 Academic year (January to April 2015).
The successful applicant is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class including planning and directing classroom-based activities, marking assignments and providing tutorial support to the students as required during the fall term. Â
The successful applicant reports to the Interim Director of the Marine Affairs Program.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Candidates must, as a minimum, possess a Master’s degree in a marine related field and hold fisheries management experience in the field. Preference shall be given for candidates with First Nations fishery management experience.
