New developments at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Health Services

Posted by Student Services on April 22, 2014 in General Announcements

Some changes are coming to мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Health Services in early June when it moves into a bright new space in the LeMarchant Mixed-Use Building. The new location will feature brighter, more comfortable spaces, including a larger waiting room and more examination rooms.

Health Services will also be transitioning to a more student-focused model by offering student-centric programming and priority access to service. The immediate families of students (spouses and children) will also continue to be welcomed as patients.

What do these changes mean to мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ staff and faculty members who are currently patients at Health Services? Most of you will notice little difference—apart from the comfortable new surroundings. Dr. Joyce Curtis retired in December and Dr. Don MacQuarrie has taken on her patients. Dr. Kim Plaxton has kept her patients on at her new Almon St. practice.

Otherwise, if you are currently a patient of any other physician at Health Services, you will continue to receive the great care you can expect from the clinic.

If you have any questions about these developments at Health Services, please contact Executive Director of Student Wellness, Verity Turpin, at 494.7153 or verity.turpin@dal.ca.
