JOB SUMMARY: This is an on-line class and does not include classes on campus. The Part-Time Academic’s duties involve full responsibility for the class including but not limited to: lecture to students on-line, be available to students two hours per week outside of class times for student consultation, develop course outlines, prepare and grade assignments, tests and exams.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: Ph.D. or ABD (Philosophy) and teaching or research experience are required to be considered for the job. The teaching or research experiences will be assessed with respect to their quality and to how closely they relate to the subject matter of the course. Evidence of teaching effectiveness is required. Research experience shall include at least one of the following: graduate classes taken in the subject matter of the course, graduate theses written in the subject matter of the course, publications or presentations on topics falling within the subject matter of the course.
