WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for History 3552.03, Topics in Modern History:Ìý Mass Media and the First World War, a third-year class conducted in the Winter Term of the 2014-15 academic year, January 1 to April 30, 2015, which explores the film industry, modern media, and representations of the First World War. Class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:35-12:55.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION:Ìý Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in History or be registered in a Ph.D. programme and have demonstrated excellence in teaching courses related to representations of history in mass media, with an emphasis on cinema. WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for History 2032.03, Twentieth Century Germany, a second-year class conducted in the Winter Term of the 2014-15 academic year, January 1 to April 30, 2015, which explores Germany’s history in the 20th century, as well as its representation in various media: e.g., cinema, fiction, etc. Class is currently scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays 14:35-15:55.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
