Teaching Scholarship Grants
Deadline for Applications: March 7, 2014
Call for Proposals
These grants are intended to encourage and support educators to develop new and innovative methods in teaching and learning through evidenced-based projects. The purpose of these grants is to:
- Develop new teaching methods
- Enhance the learning experience of students at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥
- Assess new courses and methods
- Assist in transferring knowledge about teaching and learning throughout the university community
- Develop interest in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning
Projects may focus on but are not exclusive to:
- Re-design of a course or program
- Development of a new course or program
- Development of new methods to teach an existing course
- Development of educational resources
- Assessment of impact on student learning
- Using technology to enhance student learning
- New Approaches to Assessment
Award Categories
Design and/or Development: Two grants with amounts of up to $5000
These grants will support design and development of the following:
- Development of a new course, teaching method, or program
- Re-design of a course or program
- Development of new teaching and learning resources
- Development and or implementation of technology that enhances student learning
Assessment of Impact on Student Learning: Four grants with amounts up to $2500
These grants will be awarded to investigate the impact of a new course or teaching method on student learning.
