WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The part-time academic will be responsible for History 1701.03, History of the Americas:Ìý From Pre-Contact to the Revolutionary Era, a first-year class conducted in the Fall Term of the 2014-15 academic year, September 1 to December 31, 2014, which explores the history of the Americas from the pre-Columbian period to the early nineteenth century.Ìý It examines indigenous peoples before and after 1492; patterns of conquest and colonialism; trends in trade and politics; slavery and the slave trade; religion and culture; the role of gender and demography; and the emergence of revolutionary ideologies.Ìý Class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays 14:35-15:55.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.

Class is currently scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:35-12:55.Ìý The part-time academic is responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of the class and in addition is to be available for two hours per week outside class times for student consultation.Ìý The part-time academic reports to the Chair of the Department.
