For Fair Trade Campus Week at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥, a number of events are being hosted by the university’s chapter of Engineers Without Borders. These include handing out free fair trade coffee and tea, and a talk and discussion by fair trade expert Gavin Fridell. Fair Trade Campus Week is part of the wider push across Canadian universities to increase the use and knowledge of fair trade, which provides an ethical and sustainable alternative to conventional trade practices with producers in developing countries. At мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥, support for fair trade has come from many directions, especially from students, the administration, and food services, allowing the university to make great progress towards achieving Fair Trade Campus status.
