01) POSITION :ÌýÌýÌý Teaching Assistant (130 hours)
ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌý HSCE 3010.03:Ìý Introduction to Health Research - Fall 2013
This course is taught on line using On-line Web Learning (OWL). Students taking this distance course primarily may be post-diploma students who are located throughout Canada.

PAY RATE: In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for working with the course professor in thisÌý online-delivered course to ensure that the course runs efficiently and effectively.Ìý Evaluation of student performance and participation on an ongoing basis will be expected of the TA in this role.Ìý The Teaching Assistant reports to the course professor.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Individuals interested in applying for this position should have outstanding organizational and communication skills, should work well with others and be self-motivated independent workers.Ìý Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Ìý Masters student is preferred.Ìý Experience with OWL or NewOWL an asset.

WORK ASSIGNMENT:Ìý This course is taught on-line using the NewOWL (formerly Blackboard Learning System-BLS).Ìý The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for working with the course professor in this course to ensure that the course runs efficiently and effectively.Ìý Evaluation of student performance and participation on an ongoing basis will be expected of the TA in this role.Ìý The Teaching Assistant reports to the course professor.
REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION: Individuals interested in applying for this position should have outstanding organizational and communication skills, should work well with others and be self-motivated independent workers.Ìý The successful applicant will be familiar with and interested in current issues related to leadership in the Canadian health care context. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.Ìý Experience with BLS is an asset.Ìý Masters student is preferred but those with relevant undergraduate preparation and experience will be considered.
