Professor Robert France was one of 13 groups or individuals invited by the Mayoral Office of Halifax to present ideas at a special envisioning or 鈥渟hakeup鈥� session on how to transform the infamous Cogswell Interchange near the Halifax waterfront.

Dr. France鈥檚 presentation focused on the creation of multi-functional landscapes encompassing public parks, edible gardens, stormwater runoff treatment and urban biodiversity habitat.

The proposal was well received and led to Dr. France being interviewed for a feature article in the Chronicle Herald as well as for Global Television.
