will be held on Friday, September 28, and all faculty, staff and students are encouraged to wear pink to promote respect on our campuses. It is the kick-off to Healthy Workplace Month.
The Facilities Management team is a great example of one administrative unit at 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 that clearly supports Pink Day. It provides pink t-shirts and bracelets for all of its staff to wear. Staff also get creative by adding pink hats and gloves to recognize the day. Each year, they meet on the steps of the Weldon Law Building to take part in a group photo, with everyone donned in pink.
Facilities Management's Pink Day effort is one initiative among many coordinated by the Facilities Management Wellness Committee, a sub-committee of Facilities Management鈥檚 team building advisory group. Seven staff members make up the committee, including representatives from security, trades, administration and custodial.
Wellness Committee member William Gilbert is excited to be part of this event again this year. 鈥淭his is our third year being involved with Pink Day and interest and awareness continues to grow each year. It鈥檚 an awesome event and we are happy to play a role.鈥
In 2011, about 130 Facilities Management staff participated in Pink Day and more than 200 are expected to take part on Friday.
This year, to thank its staff, Facilities Management will serve pink ice cream in pink cones, with pink balloons and pink napkins, following the group photo.
