Women鈥檚 Volleyball

The Tigers had a great weekend in Newfoundland, taking both games 3-0. Talia Vydykhan led them to the win on Saturday with a team-high 11 kills. On Sunday, Paris Stewart put down 9 kills for the Tigers, and the team finished the game with 11 blocks.

Women鈥檚 Ice Hockey

Friday night the women weren鈥檛 able to fend off the UPEI Panthers, who outscored us 4-1. 聽Brooklyn Paisley found the net for the Tigers. Sunday brought a closer game against StFX, but the X-Women came out on top 2-1, with Alix Yallowega scoring for the Tigers.

Men鈥檚 Ice Hockey

Wednesday night the Tigers faced the StFX X-men at the Forum. Neither team could pull ahead, forcing overtime. The X-Men beat us to the goal, taking the game 4-3 and leaving the Tigers with a single point. Saturday the UPEI Panthers came to town, and left with a 5-3 win. Josh Wainman, Liam Peyton, and Alex Belanger scored for the Tigers.

Women鈥檚 Basketball

The Tigers headed to Antigonish on Friday to pay a visit to the X-Women. Despite 17 points from Kaitlyn Ferrier, the Tigers lost 65-44. Back home on Sunday, the women attempted to outscore the UPEI Panthers. Kaitlyn Ferrier led the Tigers again with 34 points, but it wasn鈥檛 enough as they fell 91-66.

Men鈥檚 Basketball

Friday night the Tigers took on the StFX X-Men in Antigonish. The X-Men held onto the lead despite a 16-point effort from Samuel Maillet, taking the win 74-62. Sunday afternoon the men left it all out on the court, earning an 88-85 win against UPEI. Both teams inched ahead with the lead, but it was Nginyu Ngala that sealed the deal for the Tigers, bringing their lead to 3 with just 9 seconds left. Malcolm Christie earned player of the game for his 27 points and seven 3-pointers.
