Keevan Veinot of the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Tigers men’s basketball team averaged 23.3 points per game throughout the 2022 AUS Basketball Championship weekend, leading the Tigers to their third consecutive AUS title.
In Thursday’s quarter-final action, the fourth-year guard was named the Player of the Game after contributing 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists to the Tigers’ 86-69 win over the Acadia Axemen. He followed that performance with another player of the game nod in Saturday’s semifinal battle with the Memorial Sea-Hawks. Veinot netted 27 points and had six rebounds, two assists and a steal in the 87-85 мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ victory.
On championship Sunday, he had 19 points, nine assists, six rebounds and two steals in the Tigers 84-78 win over the UPEI Panthers. After the game, Veinot was named both a tournament all-star and the championship MVP. Earlier in the week, he was also named a 2021-22 AUS first-team all-star.
