For the past four years, each Remembrance Day has had a particular resonance as the First World War鈥檚 major milestones reached their centenary.

This year is no exception, and maybe the most resonant of all: this Sunday, November 11 marks the 100th anniversary of the armistice that ended the war. It came into force at 11 a.m. Paris time on November 11 鈥斅爐he reason why ceremonies are held on that date/time each year around the world to remember those who died in combat.

During the First World War, 585 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 students and faculty enlisted in some capacity 鈥斅爉ost famously the members of the No. 7 Stationary Hospital, a field hospital that went to the front in early 1916. Led by Lt. Col.聽Dr. John Stewart (one of Dal 200鈥檚 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Originals), the hospital of 165 doctors and nurses treated wounded soldiers 鈥斅燗xis and Ally alike 鈥斅爄n northern France during the war鈥檚 final two years.
