Every 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 success story has some incredible people behind it.
That message came through loud and clear at the first 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Legacy Awards Wednesday afternoon (June 20) in the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Arts Centre's Rebecca Cohn Auditorium.
鈥淭his is the first time 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 has held a university-wide event to recognize faculty and staff and their accomplishments鈥 when we all have come together to highlight some of the very special ways we contribute to helping reach Dal鈥檚 strategic goals," said Jasmine Walsh, assistant vice-president of Human Resources and the event's MC.
Outstanding faculty and staff
The Legacy Awards collected together 20 recognition awards from across the university into a common celebration event, paying tribute to the wide-ranging impact of faculty and staff in various aspects of university life: teaching, research, service, staff, and health and wellness. It also included two new awards: the President鈥檚 Award for the Advancement of Equity, Diversity and Inclusiveness and the President's Research Excellence Awards.
The awards themselves designed through a collaboration between Lisa Martin-Cole (owner of the Jeremiah Tree in Amherst) and Allan Carver (an artist from Hubbards).
In addition to the award presentations by President Richard Florizone, the event featured a greeting from Elder Geri Musqua-LeBlanc and a performance by the Maritime Bhangra Group.
鈥淥ur university succeeds not just on the strength of these individuals who make the biggest ways 鈥 it鈥檚 also the ripples of what each of you and all of us do every day to strengthen the university, to grow the academy, across our classrooms, campuses and laboratories," said President Florizone.
"Thank you for making 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 the special place it is to work, study and learn and to creating a community where all belong.鈥
