“Going to university while playing a varsity sport was definitely one of my goals throughout high school,” says MacIntyre. “I feel like ¼ϲʿֱ is the right academic and athletic decision for me. I am excited to start my AUS career as a Tiger.”
A high honours student all three years of high school, MacIntyre will graduate in June 2017 and will pursue a Bachelor of Science with a plan to major in neuroscience.
“Olivia is an athletic defender that has grown inside our provincial program and as a key part of her teams in Cape Breton,” says Tye. “Her physical size and ability to read the game will allow her to make a smooth transition to the AUS.”
