Second-year midfielder Freddy Bekkers is this week鈥檚 G2 Male Athlete of the Week.
Bekkers led the Tigers to a tie and a win over the weekend in St. John鈥檚 N.L. He scored the game-tying goal in Saturday鈥檚 1-1 draw against Memorial in the 90th minute. He also set up the winning goal and led the midfield in tackles in Sunday鈥檚 2-0 win over the Sea-Hawks.
A native of Halifax, N.S., Freddy is an engineering student.
