Chris Ross was named an ACAA Athlete of the Week this week.
The second-year engineering student has had a very successful badminton season so far. At the Kings tournament, played January 11 and 12 he competed in the ‘A’ division of Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles and went undefeated winning all matches two games to zero. At the Mount Allison tournament played on January 26, he competed in ‘A’ division Men’s Singles and Men’s Doubles. Again, he went through the draws going undefeated winning all matches two games to zero.
Chris will be looking to finish the regular tournament schedule with a strong showing at the last tournament of the year hosted by the мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ Agricultural Campus Rams on February 9.
Originally from Truro and a graduate of Cobequid Education Centre, Chris is an exceptional dual sport student-athlete (soccer and badminton) with an excellent academic record and team leadership skills on and off the court/field. A fierce competitor, Chris plays up to the level of opponent and the importance of the match.
