Looking to continue their winning streak, the black and gold were fierce and ready to play UNB on Friday night. With a 3-0 win over the Varsity Reds, the Tigers claimed their 10th straight win. On Saturday Dal took on AUS second place UdeM and were ready to face the challenge against their impeccable winning streak. Dominating the court, the Tigers made it look easy, winning in three straight sets. Having not lost a set in the last six games, black and gold are on a roll! They are now ranked third overall in the CIS.

DAL 3 @ UNB 2, DAL 0 @ UNB 3
In Fredericton, N.B. to face AUS second-place UNB, the Tigers knew they were in for a tough contest. With sets going up to 34 points, Dal fought hard for a 3-2 victory over UNB on Friday, with Alex Dempsey leading the team with 22 kills. Trying to push through their exhaustion, the Tigers could not secure the second win of the weekend, losing 3-0 on Saturday.

UPEI 74 @ DAL 66, CBU 78 @ DAL 76
Friday night мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ hosted the UPEI Panthers in their annual Shoot for the Cure game. Wearing pink to show their support for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), the Tigers were still as fierce as ever. Battling hard for the entire game, Dal gave it their all, but lost 74-66. Thank you to all the fans who helped the team raise approximately $750 for CBCF. The following night versus Cape Breton, the Tigers were ready to play. Dal had a narrow lead after the first three quarters, but the Capers stepped it up and tied the score. Keisha Brown earned an impressive 29 points, but the final score ended in favor of CBU 78-76.

UPEI 71 @ DAL 81, CBU 76 @ DAL 74
мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ started off the weekend hosting UPEI on Friday night. Currently in third place in the AUS, the Panthers were sure to be a good challenge for the Tigers. Controlling the court from the beginning, it was clear to fans that the black and gold were on their A-game. Earning 22 points, Simon Marr led Dal to an 81-71 victory. The following night the black and gold took on the AUS first place Cape Breton Capers. A back and forth game saw both teams well-matched, but despite leaving everything on the court the Tigers fell just short of victory 76-74 with only seconds on the clock.
Men’s Hockey
STU 2 @ DAL 5, UdeM 7 @ DAL 8
With only three games left in the regular season, the Tigers are eager to end it on a high note. Friday night мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ claimed an early lead on the St. Thomas Tommies and didn’t let up for the rest of the game. With Brett Theberge scoring two goals, the Tigers won 5-2. Facing off against Moncton the following night, the black and gold were looking to round the weekend off with another win. Leading 3-2 at the end of the first period, the Tigers kept the momentum going and a high scoring second period saw the game tied 6-6. At the end of the third period a 7-7 tie put the game into overtime where Dal captain Pierre-Alexandre Vandall scored for a 8-7 victory.
Track and Field
DAL @ McGIll Team Challenge
мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥â€™s track and field team travelled to Montréal this past weekend to compete in the McGill Team Challenge. With six women and seven men earning top three placements, Dal proved that the Tigers are fierce and are not to be taken lightly. Honorable mentions go to Elizabeth MacDonald who recorded a personal best and new мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Ö±²¥ record of 16.88m in the weight throw and Rob McClloch who finished third overall in the pentathlon. Rob’s pentathlon score ranks him second in the CIS. Rebecca Haworth (high jump) also earned a first place finish.
