The word Mawio鈥檓i, translated from Mi鈥檏maq, means 鈥済athering.鈥� It鈥檚 meant as a welcome, a means of prayer, and community event 鈥� one that鈥檚 open to everyone at Dal.
The event carries the theme 鈥淭his is our way,鈥� connecting with the idealism of the aboriginal community, and is sponsored by the Aboriginal Health Sciences Initiative, the 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 Native Student Association, and 新加坡六合彩开奖直播.
There will be dancing, drumming and traditional meal, which kicks off the festivities at 11:30 a.m. That will be followed by a grand entry onto the Studley Quad at 12:45 p.m. and a flag raising shortly thereafter.
