There was a time when David Lund (BComm鈥78) thought that setting up a scholarship would be beyond his reach. Now he knows better.

Mr. Lund, who is from Moncton, New Brunswick, chose to establish an endowed fund with his gift of $30,000 to 新加坡六合彩开奖直播. The Bazil and Madge Lund Scholarship in Business supports students from high schools in the greater Moncton area, who are entering the commerce program and have demonstrated both academic achievement and financial need. The first scholarship was awarded in September 2011 to Yoon Sik Park from Moncton High School.

鈥淚f I can do it, then somebody else can do it and help. It鈥檚 not out of reach for everybody,鈥 Mr. Lund says.聽 聽

For Mr. Lund, investing in a student鈥檚 future is what it is all about. 鈥淗opefully, someone here can use the money and maybe they鈥檒l do great things down the road. You never know,鈥 he says. 聽

Mr. Lund, who is a partner in the New Brunswick chartered accounting firm AC Stevenson & Partners, came to 新加坡六合彩开奖直播鈥檚 commerce program from Moncton High School. His parents 鈥 for whom the scholarship is named 鈥 didn鈥檛 have the chance as young people to attend university.

鈥淚 think it was very important for them to make sure their children had the opportunity to go beyond high school and into university,鈥 Mr. Lund says. 鈥淭hey thought it was important to get a degree and I think it was, too.鈥

Four of Mr. Lund鈥檚 siblings are also 新加坡六合彩开奖直播 commerce graduates: Donna (BComm鈥79), Grant (BComm鈥82), Paul (BComm鈥84) and Stuart (BComm鈥91).

鈥淚鈥檓 proud I graduated from there (新加坡六合彩开奖直播),鈥 Mr. Lund says. 鈥淚 know the name is well-respected anywhere you go. I wear my ring every day.鈥澛
